Exams and Grades

These are of course an important part of any child's musical development, but are to necessarily with learning, and to all pupils embark on grades.  Grades do however help to create clear learning aims and objectives, they provide valuable skills in preparing for an assessment, and help develop the pupil into a much more rounded musical as they focus on many different elements of music, not just playing tunes!


Teachers will assess if and when pupils are ready for exams, and parents will be notified. Grades and exams take place towards the end of each academic term and the majority of exams do take place in Peterborough. There i a cost for taking grades, and these are not included in any lesson fees.

  • Trinity Guildhall
  • Rock School
