Alison: Piano, Keyboards, Singing

Personal Message

I believe music is for everyone to enjoy and nobody should be told 'you can't do it'. I enjoy the challenge of teaching pupils who may struggle in other areas of the curriculum, and firmly believe everyone can always excel at something.

I teach many pupils throughout the week and always try to be person centred - trying to relate to every pupil as a unique individual. Teaching can be challenging but the rewarding element is seeing the smile on a pupil's face when they feel that sense of achievement - nothing better!

Reviews

"Both of my children (aged 10 and 6) have been learning piano with Alison and are flourishing. My daughter, the eldest, has picked it up really quickly, and Alison has been great at moving along at the pace she has almost set herself. She even got the chance to perform at a Christmas concert which was lovely to see. My youngest isn't progressing quite as quickly, but is still doing well, and again Alison is excellent at just taking it session by session. She provides me with feedback into how they are doing and always asks for my input as they are both such different learners. As a teacher Alison can't be faulted, and as a company I can't discredit JMP Music at all. The lessons are affordable, the feedback great, and the constant communication makes for a very personal experience all round" - Kersti Salter, Parent of Pupils at Watergall
